When you Visit, Take a Narrated Audio Walking Tour

For a first-hand experience of Harrisville’s rich history and architecture, you can take an audio walking tour, strolling through the village at your leisure, and visiting those sites that most interest you. The tour includes 26 sites, and is divided into 3 loops, each taking about 20 minutes to navigate. The narration by Pamela White provides a wealth of information that will greatly enhance your understanding of village life.

Then, unzip the MP3 files and transfer them to your MP3 player. There are 27 tracks, one for each site, plus an introduction. Each digital audio player will have specific instructions for transferring files from your computer to the player. If you are using an Apple computer, you will need to add the MP3 files to your iTunes library.

Download the walking tour map and print it out.

You may also borrow an MP3 player from Historic Harrisville or the Harrisville Public Library. The walking tour files have already been transferred to them.
